POISON: Missouri Concert Filmed For Upcoming DVD
August 9, 2007POISON's August 1, 2007 concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, Missouri was reportedly filmed for the band's first-ever, one-night-only, full-length concert DVD.
"We figured St. Louis is always such a good show every time we play there," POISON frontman Bret Michaels told The Telegraph prior to the shoot. "We said, 'Please shoot it as fun and in your face, exciting. Involve the fans.' They will have boom cranes over the fans. We want a sweaty, in-your-face rock and roll show.”
When he's not off with POISON, Michaels takes his solo act across the country and said he will return to Iraq in October to play for the troops. Michaels dedicates the power ballad "Something to Believe In" to the fighting men and women overseas.
As previously reported, VH1's "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" is now available through iTunes at the price of $1.99 each episode. The episodes can be purchased at this location or type "Rock of Love" in your iTunes search box.
The July 29 episode of "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" earned a series high 1.9 million total viewers in the key 18-49 demo, 23% higher than the previous week's episode which averaged 1.4 million viewers. In addition, the episode ranked among the Top 10 programs on all of cable for the day at #8 in the demographics.
"Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" is a 10-part series that airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CST on VH1. The series focuses on the never-before-revealed private side of Bret Michaels, who has 20 beautiful women residing in his Los Angeles rock palace in an attempt to win a VIP pass to his heart.
